NY Fishing License fee, huge increase!

Here we go again, an increase from $19 to $29 and a requirment for a salt water marine fishing licence that begins at $10...gee how long will it be at this rate, before no one can afford to fish legally? I know I shall not be!!
 
One presumably unintended result of add'l rec. SW angling permit/licenses & their costs is likely many more fish kept, fewer released, as the mindset for many may become ,"Make it more than pay for itself" every time they fish.
 
How does NY Come to the conclusion they can Tax your fishing for a species they dont replentish?
 
NY liberal politicians think they are god’s foot soldiers and they can do anything they want! Unfortunately all they want to do is generate tax dollars to spend on illegal immigrants and other lazy miscreants... New Yorkers keep electing them and this is what the few sane ones have to put up with.
 
In La., we have a lifetime fishing and hunting license. I bought mine as soon as they came out.
$500 for lifetime of State fees and licenses for recreational hunting and fishing.
All I gotta buy is a federal duck stamp.
 
The Feds were going to impose a fee/license on any states that did not have their own. NY figured that the fishermen would have to pay, either way - so at least now the money goes to the state, instead of the Feds.
 
HOGAN, Don't be fooled. The feds will get their money, one way or the other. It may be paid to the state, but the robbers in DC will figure out a way to make the state send it to them. Just a matter of time.

RDUHON, I did the same thing back in '83 in North Carolina. Best money I ever spent. I don't even have to buy their saltwater license be cause I bought it before 2008.

That makes me think of the lifetime/no expiration F.I.D cards that MA sold us years ago, then decided lifetime was only until they changed it to "reapply and renew every 5 or 6 yrs" and doubled the fee to $100. The lifetime cards are all long-expired & worthless.
 
Disabled vets. get them for free like me. Did i just rime this time ? Oh my.
