It's a gorgeous night at the marina, calm waters, warm air. We are the only ones here.

It is a Wed night after a long weekend if not for this work thing I would be there too! My wife returned to work this week my boating time really slows down this time of year:(

Just returned from my marina. It was very quiet as well. Got to get as much time as possible before the reverse cycle goes from AC to heat.

Dave, we are just the opposite. With both kids off to school, we can spend a lot more time on the boat these next two months!

Man, I hate to wish away my kids youth but that sounds great. I likely won't take my boat out again until Columbus Day. Soccer or some other activty on every weekend and most weeknights. This is a beautiful time of year to boat.

We went through all the sports and school stuff in the fall, and do miss it. But, as long as time passes and they grow up, we might as well enjoy each other and our boat.

We had a great summer with both sons, they spent parts of our boat vacation with us, as well as whatever weekends that they were not working.

Enjoy every minute with your kids, before you know it, they'll be off to college.

Mike,

From the way Thomas climbs on your back out of the water, your not finished with that kids stuff yet!!!!!!!!

By the way, how does your back feel??

I'm ready for more! It keeps me young!!!

Heading back up to the boat after work today.

Are you going to try for more kids or just going thru the motions:)

For me it's not just the kids Audrey being a teacher returning to work is always a bit much and takes from our boating time. I have two more years until my second child goes off to college I'm in no rush for many reasons but I can't image having an empty nest I think we will be very sad for a while but the next day we will try to deal with the concept of our new found freedom.

We spent another great night on the boat last night!

Dave, it is very sad and weird, but we are making the most of it.

That's it get of the boat. You are spending to much time on it and may start to enjoy it!

Mike it might be time for another dog to help fill the void.

My wife always hesitates when I wanna take the boat out for a weekend.
But after she gets on it and we start moving, she is happy.
After the weekend, she don't wanna get off of it.

I put 5 inch memory foam mattress in the V-berth. Made all the difference in the sleeping department.
It is dark, cold and comfortable. We never wanna get up.

Nice dinner at Hudson Water Club last night. Had lobster bisque, goat cheese salad, coconut shrimp and a margharita pizza. All were good.

See now if you had your boat here, you would have gotten a 10% discount on your dinner. That would have paid to run your genny for another hour. :)

Dave,
Empty nest this year in my house, very strange feeling :(

Walter I have two more years and I'm in no rush. I planned and spaced my kids 4 years apart hoping not to have two in college at the same time, I hadn't considered grad school. My son may be back home when my daughter leaves so I may have a lot longer before I have an empty nest. With the prices of housing these days it will be a while before me son can afford a place of his own.
