Below is a post on facebook from a friend from our marina.
Tonight a life was saved. After watching Santa Claus is coming to town my daughter was leaving our boat. She heard a man yelling for help. She came back into the boat to get more help. I heard the man yelling that he was going under and he couldn't hold on any longer. We scrambled and got our life vests and drove over to the area where he was yelling from. We located him in between his boat and the dock. He was a man in his 70's. He was very cold and going under. I was able to hold onto him and my daughter was able to find a life vest on his boat to put on him. Meanwhile my wife had called 911. I could not lift him out of the water. Stockton PD arrived and another officer and I were able to pull him out. He was transported to the hospital.
I told them to find out if the mans name was George and for his daughter to not be surprised if the guy calls her Clarence from now on. From "Its a wonderful life"
