Outrigger is Closed for Season

That's too bad about Outrigger. But it looks like they brought it on themselves. My bet is that there will be new management in May and we'll see what that will bring.

I agree with new ownership in May. That would make me very happy. I know Ron Green said he would never take it back over, but it sure would make me happy. I know it would bring back a lot of customers. I know none of the major offshore boats will patronize now. We were always busy every weekend. The customers and berthers were always happy. If Ron has to take it back it seems like he could have it handled by property managers under his direction. Under proper management all the slips could be full. I have seen many boats come in and inquire, but not to many rent a slip. Oh well, fall fishing season is fast approaching so our weekends are spent out on the water instead of at dock. (Unless the weather is really bad then we will just have to wine and dine ourselves at our slip.

I went by there this weekend and the slips looked pretty full to me. But then I really didn't look hard either.

Speaking of offshore racers, about 20-30 of them came screaming past there on Saturday. Quite a site.

Unless they have rented within the last week while we were on vacation they had 32 empty slips. Yes, we get a lot of offshore boats passing through. To bad that is all they do because the majority won't stop because they were all ran off for one reason or other.

Liz, they run right around $200 more or less depending on the size of the boat. We could go down to Eddo's for less, but the areas we fish are closer to the Outrigger so we figure the less we spend on gas the better off we are. Actually if you figure in the gas we are getting a pretty good deal. It is secured with video cameras, even in the parking lot. The restrooms and showers are VERY clean. We are happy there. They just did quite a lot of repairs to the docks in the sheds. The clientele is very good now. We are planning on going sturgeon fishing this weekend. Fishing is starting to pickup. This time of year bait seems to be the issue.

Thanks for the info. That is similar to what I am paying at BI. Good luck with the fishing!!!!
