Hey guys been a while, but i just got the nod for an overnight trip sat. last minute, but going to see where i can get in. the channel club is jammed, so thinking of kingston, or maybe even somewhere in the sound for a 2 to 3 hour ride from haverstraw. anyone have any good trips lately?

You are talking about the 4th of July weekend! You are going to have a tough time getting in anywhere.

Try Danfords in Port Jeff or Norwalk Cove Marina

Brewers Capri Marina in Port Washington would be about a 2+ hour ride. Again, transient space may already be filled.

i figured i was going to have a difficult time anywhere, but i have to give it a shot. i was actually going to call brewers, thanks.

sounds great, i got lucky on the cancelation of a bbq, so i'm going to try and make something out of it. i would love to head out to port jeff, but it might be aggressive for just 1 night.

Watch Hill is beautiful...but those flies!!!!

I'm planning a trip to WH. Any recommendations on how to get rid of the flies? Are those greenhead flies or something else?

I always thought watch hill did not take reservations. did they change

If there is a way to get rid of the flies I don't know about it. Yes, they were greenheads & they were a real PITA. But the place is gorgeous all the same! It's really one of most beautiful places I have seen & the ride to & from on the ocean was spectacular as well. And to top it off we came back with lots of "crazy clams" made by Hogan's boys. lol

Yes, you're correct. From what I know you have to call in AM of the day of arrival and it's a first come first serve basis.

reservation line opens at 8:30am so im gonna call first thing and cross my fingers. Atlantique is my backup plan if i cant get a slip.

Greenheads hate " skin so soft" brand lotion. I used to live in Brigantine, the greenies were vicious, but that stuff worked.
