Paint Color for Crown Head Motor

Vic,

What color of white is the motor assembly on a Crown head toilet? I have my toilet off and want to do some cleaning/touch-up of the motor.

Craig, it's Sherwin-Williams quick-dry synthetic enamel, gloss white #F77-W8. However, you'd likely have to buy a gallon can of it.

Your best bet would be to get a spray can of gloss white refrigerator enamel from Home Depot or Lowe's and paint the whole motor/base unit with that. It'll work just as well, and won't turn yellow as quickly.

Be sure to mask off the label that has the model number, serial number, voltage, amperage, etc. - don't paint over it!

You'd be amazed at how many do, and then when I ask them on the phone for the model number and serial number for their unit, I get dead silence for several seconds...
