Pascals 53'

Sounds good Joe! I have vacation to burn! I just did my second shakedown cruise on mine. Port side engine overheated at the boca grande bridge heading north. The raw water pump belt was wore out! Should have tightened her up a little more origanally. Well I learned how to bring her home on one engine. Other than that I'm putting new canvas on her and had some cushion work done. Going to install a new battery charger, transom shower hardware, and a back up depth finder. A weekend in Miami sound great. We'll probably have to do a 12 pack survey of Pascals 53'! haha

I carry a spare set of belts for one engine and also one of those
goofy looking one size fits all belts, just in case.
My boat is probably overloaded with "just in case" parts.

Well, things have been delayed a bit. But it looks like we should get going next week some time once all the outstanding bills are payed and we get full access to the boat.

Stay tuned.

Are you going to work on her where she sits or bring her home? Oh yea that tender with a the 250 hp yamaha isnt to shabby either!

We will work on getting the aircon system up and running where it's at since we can hook up a shore side aircon unit to cool the boat while we work on it and it's in a covered slip. As well as start some of the mechanical work and general clean up and inventory.
Then I will have it towed to a much cheaper slip where we will finish the majority of the work before taking it back to the boat yard to finish the paint job and do the bottom job.

As to where the boat will call home, Ft. Lauderdale for a while. Then the Bahamas and down to the Carribean. Summers most likely in New England. Maybe over to the Med. at some point.

It looks like cherry to me. Most of it is in good shape.

But the original stain work looks muddy to me. But we will not be stripping all the wood work by any means.

Haven't forgotten about the remodel thread. But we are still clearing up legal issues that are keeping us off the boat and from starting work. For the last three weeks we've been told "in a few days". Very frustating.
