I hear well-founded rumors that Steve & Company have sold Pennybridge to Surfside 3. If it's true. it's a shame. These guys have been doing a great job for years and years.

Why do I have to find this out way down south in Myrtle Beach. Where's the Gov, and the HRCC Moderator? Inquiring minds want to know.

:(

Everyone is kind of shocked right now Pete. In mourning almost. We all just hung out together at the marina yesterday, no one even cared to go out. It is what it is I suppose but most of all it is sad. I am happy for Steve, Rick & JD though. They have worked hard & deserve to enjoy life. I wish them the best & hope we continue to see them.

I hear we have some open slips available :)

Really I'm sorry to hear this I know how much you all loved the place mostly because of the owners I hope things continue to be the happy place you all have grown to love. My best to Rick Steve and JD in what ever they prusue in the future.

And of coarse best of luck to the new owners I hope it turns out to be great for everyone.

I think Judy summed it up perfectly. We will miss having them there both professionally and as friends. It was a shock to all!

Judy and Mike have hit it on the nose. It was a major shock to us all and they were concerned about it. We are loosing some great friends but the good news is the staff we have gotten to know as well, will still be in the marina to continue with the excellent service we have all become familiar with. The new Owners are experienced in the marine trade and will have time to learn the marina operations before Rick, Steve and JD Leave. They will be around till we get our boats on land for the dreaded winter season.

I'm sure they will be missed by a lot of us but I know we all are happy for them and wish them the best in whatever they decide to do.

I'm sure the new owners will try to keep the same atmosphere we have and we all wish them great success..

I guess that also means no more Chaparral sales? More Sea Rays, Boston Whalers and Bayliners.

Best of Luck to JD, Steve and Rick. You Guys are the Best...

Hey, if you want to buy another Marina, I know were one is for sale!....

Enjoy some well deserved time off..

We just got back from Montauk and we are all shocked to hear the news this way.. Good Luck, we'll miss you guys at PBM

Sad to hear this. They are indeed the best repair/service operation that I know of. I've sent a few people up the river to them that had used some (to remain nameless) places more south and to the east and all were pleased. Judy nailed it.

I have serviced my last three boats at SS3/Charles Point and never had any issues. As stated above they have been in the marine sales and service business for many many year and I consider them highly professional. They have great mechanics, and if taking on more work (Pennybridge customers) they may keep the current service staff. I wish all success

Rich

Do we know which SS3 is taking over?
The guys from Charles Point or is it the SS3 out on Long Island?
