Pincess stove top popping gfi breaker

Not another dock pedestal with GFCI breakers? I'm beginning to hate these things. There was another thread dealing with this issue. I'm thinking the cook top is mis-wired since that's the only device tripping the dock GFCI. Inspect it for polarity and make sure the white neutral and green ground are separated all the way to the main fuse panel. If so or the power is common going to the oven it sounds like something is wrong internally to the cook top.

New boat to me. Never used stove. I resolved GFI issue for boat by separating neutrals and grounds in panel.

I read the stove manual and am leaning towards the safety switch on the back of the stovetop cover. I know that some people bypass this but I would rather not. It is set up to make sure that you don't turn on a burner while the cover is on.
I also see that there is a toggle switch on the front panel to power either the oven or the top burners. The back burner will run off of either setting.
The odd thing is that the burners will get hot for 10 or 15 seconds and then trip the dock GFI breaker.

Princess stoves use wires with plugs on both ends to connect the switch (pot meter) to the burners. These are relatively light and are subject to corrosion.. The assembly is simple to replace and not expensive compared to a new stove. I would check these before going a lot further.

The problem may be your burners. The back one is 550w/110v. The front ones are 1100W/110v. The system is set up so that you can run all three top burners or up to two top burners plus the oven.
The burners simply plug-in and as noted, corrosion can be a problem. Try pulling out the burners and very lightly sanding them and replug. If the breaker still pops, try replacing them. I went on-line and searched for Princess 3342 element burners and a number of sources came up. Paid about $20 for each burner two years ago.
