Jim, glad to hear you're going south. Our boat was a total but bought her back. Had most of the fiberglass work done, took a trip to FL. Put an offer on a house and had it accepted. Waterfront but under a 10' bridge. So I figured we'd just change our way of boating. Put up the Chris and sold within a week. 2 days prior to settlement, the bank cancelled the house contract. So, no boat, no house. Still looking though. Figure we'll get a boat after the house in case we end up under a bridge again.
As far as the other boats on the dock, we had 11 get smashed. The Trumpy next to me almost turned turtle. The rest of the boats either were sold for salvage or the owners are fixing them up.

So sorry about the house as well as the boat... had friends buying a short sale house in Arizona and the bank refused the contract, even though they are ABOVE the listed price by a bit...

Yeah, we are planning to move with the company to Florida - I'll likely go in February and come back for the boat in mid April and take it down the ditch again (bought it in Ft Lauderdale and brought her up in July 2007). Need to do some PM such as oil changes and new RW impellers (at $76 each!) and getting a new bimini made now as a Christmas present to myself ;-)

Thanks for the response Jim. We are staying away from Shorts for that very same reason. Check Depco for impellers. We were getting them for 50 ea vs. +100 local. Ditto on the turkey thingy and we'll be looking for the log!!!! At least they haven't laid you off! I work in Middletown so if you need me to do anyhing, froggy3k at hotmail dot Com

About the only ties to Delaware I have left is a small storage locker in M-Town with some items like great grandma's china and similar items. Youngest Daughter lives in Newark with her husband.

I am supposed to get the formal "relocation offer" sometime in the next several days... wondering about what it will contain... in the meantime, I have a small skin cancer area to be removed later today that I'm focusing on right now.
