I was looking at this boat http://www.prolineboats.com/Boats/Express/35X.html at a boat show. It was shown with a pair of 250 Suzuki 4 strokes. I asked the Pro Line representative if he thought this was enough power and he said yes. With that power it would get into the low 40's and cruise at 30 at about 4,000rpm. Would burn about 25 gal per hour at that cruise.
The dealer salesman and I were both skeptical about 500hp being sufficient power.
What do you think?
It is an extremely nice fishing boat. It would also be good for weekend cruises and even possibly week long.
