PWC explodes at Stony Point Bay Marina

Walter
A can of beans? Couldn't you pick something else?
Like, he bought some rubbers and he had a blow out, and the girlfriend got pregnant? His wife finds out and sues him so he goes after the rubber company..

Then the price of them goes up and we all pay YEA :)

Yes, it's true that lawyers advertise, hell, they are in the business to make money - should be ban ALL advertising?

And yes, it does not cost the client anything if the case is lost - it costs the LAWYER the $10,000+ that he spent.

Don't get me wrong, I left the PI business because I couldn't stand the BS clients who would lie to the lawyer as soon as they would lie to the insurance company.

It's true some carriers are more willing to settle cases than others, but who's fault is that? It's not the lawyers, the carrier made a business decision to settle. Allstate and State Farm take strong "no pay" positions - I tried cases against them that I would have settled for LESS than it cost them to try it.

It's easy to just bash Lawyers - but who is the first one you call when you have a problem????

Unless anyone else has first hand knowledge as either a PI trial lawyer or an insurance adjuster, this thread is over.

Mike,
Trashing a lawyer is not right, not to say in your industry there are some real dirt bags, but then again, show me any industry that does not have dirt bags.
A lawyer goes to school, spends tons of money for an education and now needs to earn a living, he has many choices on the law he wants to represent, PI, DA, Business Attorney etc.

Like any other graduate, he is trained and now pursues his career, nothing wrong with that.

The problem is not the lawyers, but the system, the lawyers are the guys that just work with the system, they don't dictate the rules, they just follow them..

The problem is the system; someone should not be able to sue someone just because they can, if there was a way to hold someone accountable for a suit then you would see a lot less law suits. If all insurance companies had the balls to go the nine yards, then law firms would not work on a contingent basis, so then less law suits would be filed.

So, IMHO the system needs to be fixed, until that happens, us as consumers are screwed..

So boatbum, are you really advocating blowers be required on PWC? Right above your logo of "Don't Tread on Me"?
Sounds like you're a little conflicted. Or do you want to be the one treading?

Anyway, sounds like a useless feature. There should be no enclosed space for fuel and gas to accumulate. Looking at the pictures, I'd say there was probably spilled fuel. There should be enough vents, but with a spill it won't evaporate on its own or with a blower.
