My (discontinued) Ray ST5000 Sterndrive autopilot (twin I/O's) "snakes" at cruise, and a rep at the Chicago boat show says I need a rudder reference sensor.
I've searched Ray's website to no avail for a part # and/or a telephone # to a tech---none there!
Anyone installed one of these? Is it DIY (I installed the autopilot myself) or, as the rep suggests, I need it professionally installed? Will this cure my problem?
