Here are two recent recalls that relate to Carvers:
General Motors, the manufacturer of 8.1L base engines, recently notified Volvo Penta that GM safety recall bulletin #06080 applies to these engines. Some of these engines have a condition in which the fuel rail pulse dampener retainer clip may fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the dampener. If the dampener comes loose, a fuel leak may result and may cause a fire if an ignition source is present. These engines were shipped from Volvo Penta to boatbuilders between 8/10/04 and 5/30/06, they may be installed on 2004-07 or newer model boats. Recall affects engines with serial numbers 4012133547-4102167569.
