i have a hurth 630 with a 1:57 ratio. current power is 230 (marine power 6.5 liter turbo).
the calculator at boat diesel indicates that when i repower with a 310 peninsular a 1:2 ratio is more efficient. i don't doubt it, but i don't understand the thoery...
anybody here care to comment?
