Hi,

I'm new to this forum but was told to post here from the "other" SeaRay forum.

I'm considering a SeaRay 340 and Regal 3760 both with V drives. Any feedback regarding both boats and dealers (experience) is appreciated. I'm a SeaRay owner with a 2005 260 and 185, so the Regal is new to me. Local dealers are Marine Max and Quality Boats in Clearwater Florida.

TIA,

Mike

Mike,

I narrowed my choices to the SR 340 or Regal 3560/3760 in '05.
Both boats are of similar construction and quality and use many identical components and sub-systems.

The layout of the Regal fit us better, i.e., the versatile aft cockpit area, the walkthru windshield, the screened companionway, the forward cabin pocket door, separated shower, standard S/S windshield frame, standard dark helm color, ,more fuel, water and waste tankage, etc.

The SeaRay had some better features too, i.e. exterior styling, larger galley area and others.

So, I think it comes down to what you like best. Either boat will serve you well.

Ken,

Thanks. How has the relibality been and dealer? How about resale value?

Thanks,

Mike

I've never been back to the dealer, as I've had no warranty issues other than a couple of post delivery issues, which were immediately handled remotely by Regal. Resale value? Who knows....I would hate to be selling a boat of any brand right now. Sea Ray has so many boats out there for every model that a buyer can really pick and chose deals. The Regal brand supposedly has a slightly better edge for holding value on the used market. Then again...some uninformed buyers will consider nothing but a Sea Ray. At least you are shopping around and comparing wisely.
