This is my first post to this site!
I own a 1994 Carver Voyager 320 (350 Crusader power). I've had the boat since 2008. My water heater leaks and needs replacing. It is an 11 gallon Attwood which I'm replacing with a 6 gal Kuuma (big enough for my use). The problem I'm having is how to remove it from it's location inside the galley cabinet (it is located between the sink and port side of the hull. I've managed to remove all 8 screws holding it down, the rear exchange hoses from the port engine have to be remove as well as the shore wiring but the big problem is the route out. I have investigated weather the cabinet may be disassembled but think everything is glued. My present thought is to remove the 3 draw slides (easy), the refridgerator (already done) and to cut an opening (about 20" X 20") in the internal panel to the left of the fridge. That panel does not appear to be moveable. Does anyone know a simpler method before I start this? (Someone please say YES!).
Thanks for any inputs.

Dimensions would help but likely difficult. Is your sink molded or a drop in? If it drops in if it were out would the heater tank come out through that opening? Just thinking aloud.

Some pictures would help.

I agree with dancerscap that if the sink lifts out and you can bring it forward, what is stoping it after that?

I have a 94 320 also. I have wondered about that same issue. The shelf below the sink and the round sink would not allow it to come out that way. The path behind the fridge/drawers would be the way I would attack it. Remove the drawers and fridge and go to work with a jigsaw/sawzall on the cabinet wall?? Hire a dwarf!

If the new heater will go in without chopping up cabinets can you cut the old one up where it is and take it out in pieces ?

My thoughts as well.

We had a similar issue getting the 11 gallon WH out of the engine bay of our Carver 3257. We crushed the WH cabinet enough to squeeze it out and replaced it with a smaller one. Crush it, cut it, whatever it takes.... its junk now anyway.
