A few of the breakers on our 3607 are getting weak anf I would like to replace them.
Does anyone know a source for these specific breakers that will allow replacement in kind?

If I remember correctly, they are just standard (marine) circuit breakers and should be available at any marine outlet. Just make sure you get the same amperage and trip rating. Blue Seas Systems makes this type of breaker although I believe Carver uses Carlingswitch brand.

yes Carling brand. I have never found a boat store that carried them

Kenny, If he is referring to the DC breakers? I believe I got them through your dealer the last time I needed a few. I think they were Ampax or Airpax. I have never seen the small DC breakers but do see the standard (Bluesea) AC breakers everywhere. I am looking for a few of the DC breakers myself. Thanks.

Curious - from a fellow 3607 relic owner... how do we determine when they are "weak"?

When they start tripping without enough amperage load to justify them tripping.
One simple test would be to switch the connections fron a breaker that is tripping to one of the same amperage rating that is not and see what happens.

Try on eBay for the Carlings breakers. There are many of them listed so just search for the type you need. Prices are very good.

I've found many that would work if I were to drill holes in my breaker pannel to mount them with screws vs the nut on the toggle as the originals did, just trying not to drill holes/alter the breaker pannel if posible.

get the part number off the breaker and look at the makers web site, probably carling, for an exact replacement.
