Probably the only ongoing little issue that my wife would love me to fix/change is the noise of the air conditioner.

Since it's located right above the berth in the front, every time it kicks on, you hear it pretty loud.

Anyone have suggestions on quieter replacement ones or any ideas?

Thanks.

We've got a '99 and I'd say that you can definitely hear it, but I wouldn't call ours really loud...I call it more of a white noise/soothing sound...we also run a small fan too...I like white noise. I suppose you could look at the mounts and maybe see about replacing them with different/better isolation mounts and then mayble putting some sound shield down underneath it (similar to the bilge hatches), just some thoughts. But, yeah, you're right, it's RIGHT overhead the berth!

I just replaced all three of my units with the new "Turbo" units by Cruisair and all you can hear is the fan running. One is under the aft berth and the other two are under the dinette seats. All are cushioned pretty well by the mattress or seat cushions, but were pretty loud prior to the replacements.

An added bonus is the additional air flow and they use 27% less amps. Very pleased so far but they are pricey.

set the fan to be on continuously and see if that is less intrusive.

Ya we tried that. Realized the Fan isn't the issue, it's when the compressor kicks on.

Thanks, we'll look into them.
