Greetings folks,

I'm in the process of replacing some of my flooring on my 1988 19' Bow Rider (Glastron). My question is this: What do you recommend i do to treat the new plywood with (if anything) before putting down my new marine grade carpet? I would like to water proof the plywood as best as possible before putting down the carpet glue. I also want to make sure that the carpet glue will adhere to whatever i use to treat the plywood.... (I'm assuming it's necessary to treat the plywood)
Someone mentioned to me to use "polyester boat resin".... Should i use anything besides the carpet glue? Should I use the resin suggested? Should I use something different? Appreciate all your help!
By the way... the glue I plan on using is "Synergistecs 240 Outdoor Adhesive" from West Marine

thanks!
