We have decided to take a chance and proceed with our plans and explore the hudson. What basin do you think we should make a reservation??

Either the town dock or Rondout Yacht Basin

A bit of embellishment for the unfamiliar...
Town dock - convenient to restaurants and shops as it's right at the Rondout waterfront/walk to everything. Stern-in to 20' fingers. Less private. http://www.kingstoncitymarina.com/

Rondout Yacht Basin - nice marina on south side of creek. Dink or cab to Rondout waterfront for eats and shopping (casual eats on site too).

I'll see you there. Looks like it should be a nice weekend.
If you see my Avatar I won't be far.

Just an FYI for people that have not been there but the town dock has 30 amp power only.

That said, we like both places.

Oh, and if you need water at the town dock you either need VERY long arms or 2 people to run the hose. The facets are across a 15 foot moat.

We will be there (RYB) along with Audrey II. We are heading up on Sat. and will be leaving on Mon. Be sure to stop by and say hello.

Note to the travelers: The Italian Festival is Sunday, and they have a Chili contest on Sat.. Sorry if I misled folks. Here is a link -> http://krbaonline.org/Calendar.html

Apparently the city and business owners are at odds... Not sure why this is not on the city calendar.

Dan if you get the chance to stop down please do. Audrey II and I would enjoy meeting you. And thank you for the information....

Bring warm clothes, it's gonna be freezing there!

I just heard there will be alot of Go fasts headed up to Roundout on Saturday. There was suppose to be a lake George Poker run but permits where pulled by the town so they are going to make a trip up to Roundout on Saturday instead. I guess they are headed back to SPBM for a get together Saturday night...

I guess the fuel dock is going to be busy! And it is 55 here now. But things are supposed to warm up a bit.

I believe the go fast crowd is leaving SPBM at 11:00 meeting up with others in Newburgh at 12:00 then heading up to Rondout for lunch then returning in the afternoon, I guess your right they are going to be busy at the gas dock tomorrow. We all do our best to stimulate the economy. It may be a little chilly but I'm looking forward to a last run. The Season is coming to a quick end. Lets make the most of it.
