Well, against others admonitions, I cruised the entire Sacramento Deeo Water Channel. I had never been on that stretch before so I had to see it. A friend of mine and I made that trip last Saturday, hoping to find a large freighter along the way. (we didn't) I was not ugly and boring but not much going on until we neared Sacramento where we had to idled down and pick our way thru a bunch of UC Davis rowers or skullers. No ships in port but we went east to where I guess the locks were and found we were about a stones throw away from the Sacramento River. I wonder why those two cannot connect. Couple live aboards to the west of the port, but other than that, not much going on. I enjoy cruising anywhere and we had fun, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone out on a sightseeing trip.
