I took this pic from the seawall in Troy today - guess they are still cleaning up the mess from last month's storms:

Pete that seems trivial in comparison to the damage at the locks.

Agreed it is trivial, just thought it was a shame... The barge has picked up a couple of sunken boats and has placed them on the deck for delivery to a junkyard or whatever...

I have some pics of a trip I took today with Commissioner Stratton. Starting a new thread now...
 
The tug is the Sentinal II which is operated by the US Army Corp of Engineers out of the Federal Dam and Lock in Troy. They are responsible for maintaining removing hazards to navigation for good stretch of the river up here. Trees, rogue telephone poles, sunken boats etc.

Capt. Pat Wells and the boys do a great job. Unfortunatley this is just one trip recently where they have had to do this.
