We were doing maintenance to the head and couldn't leave the slip this weekend. Spent a bunch of time in the runabout, including a couple of breakfast runs to Shoals Cafe. Talking to Korth's gas dock attendant yesterday, he told us they had an abnormally eventful day Sunday: An emergency medical evacuation of a badly hurt waterskier (broken leg/dislocated hip) Sunday afternoon; a berther had a heart attack and passed away on his boat about 9:00 Sunday night; a domestic disturbance 911 call about 3:00 Monday morning for someone throwing a guest and his wife overboard and refusing to allow at least one of them to come back on board. We heard the sirens of arriving emergency vehicles from our slip at WB at 9:00, but must have slept through the 3:00 AM event.

We closed up the boats and left to run errands 11:00 Monday, so didn't see or hear about any collision at WB.

Sounds like the last hurray of summer in the Delta. Now it is time for more sane boating.

Ohmygosh, a domestic violence call on the Delta Loop! Was this at the WB or Korth's? Sounds like something out of "Cops". Was he wearing a wife-beater tee-shirt? Hoodathunkit?
