Big article in the Sun Sentinel today about the sale of Holiday Isle to a questionable condo developer in Palm Beach County, who is in trouble for failing to complete a couple of developments up there. They plan to tear all of Holiday Isle down and put up condos. What a shame to lose such a great tiki bar, the original home of rum runners (they claim), and everything else there. Don't know what may happen to the marina, but I am planning a trip to Islamorada next month before it starts to get over developed like the rest of SoFla.
