Ok after 6 years of living on the gulf Its time for this former cheese head to buy a boat! Looking for something for mostly day trips and the ocassional overnighter on the intercostal and the bay! Family of three, The one that just keeps coming up is the old Sanego 2767 any thoughts??
 
Great choice for your boating needs. I have an 88 and we just love it. I have the twin 205's and has enough power for up tp 10 people. It has great head room to move around comfortable to sllep 4 people and up to 6 with the dinette folded down. Well built and handles the rough water well. I live up here in Wisconsin and boat on a lake that gets up tp 7' seas and does well. A great choice and you should be able to pick up a nice boat in the $15,000- $20,000 range. Good luck Greg
 
Hey Greg small world when I was a kid my dad had an old carver on the Wolf! Is yours on Partridge or Winnabago? Yeah their seam to be a peathera for sale The problem is finding a nice one!
 
We are on the wolf river at PartyDoll Marina. Spend alot of time out swimming and sight seeing on Partridge!! Spent 10 years on lake winn. Dont miss the green water or the rough water at any time. Greg
 
We upgraded to this boat (89 model) in February and love it!!! For our normal boating, I feel it is the PERFECT boat. However, we have the 4.3l mercs, with a full load of fuel, water, gear, and guests, it takes a bit to get up on plane...Yes it is hard to find a nice one. I looked at a couple in 15k - 18k range and they were a little rough. One other thing to consider - a generator for a/c - it gets HOT here!!!
 
I have a 30 foot santigo and I can't see how you can sleep any more than 3 people. Love the boat
 
aholst1 ... just curious. At cruz spd (18kts g/t, how's your fuel consumption? I have a friend that's running 4.3's in his 2767 also... and claims he is burning about 12 gph. I thought that seemed a little on the low side. Thanks

12 gph is about right on the 4.3l mercs at cruise speed...it jumps up to approx 22 - 25 gph x 4000 rpm
If I am really taking my time (under 2000 rpm) the generator burns more fuel than the engines.
I don't have flow meters, simply working off gauges, approx times, and how many gallons upon fill up.
