Sea Conditions

I am planning to move my boat from Glen Cove to East Rockaway on Saturday. It seems that every day, they have been extending the small craft advisory out further yet, the conditions don't seem to be that bad from what I can see from land. It's not that long a ride from the VZ Bridge to the inlet, but it can be a miserable one.

Anyone been outside with a first hand look?
