True dat. Actually, I think the 8.5' beam was brought back when dealers complained that they had nothing in the competitor's price range. Then when they came back as the SE they were loaded and the dealers had to take parts off them to make them price comparable with the competition. Or at least that was what we were told when we bought our 270SE. Very nice boat. Aside from the B# corrosion issue, I screwed up when I got boat fever and upgraded.
