Seal in Stony Point Bay

Today when I went out of SPBM I saw a seal. I went along side Stony Point to fish and several times he came close to the boat. Probably wanted a handout. I had nothing to give him. He was around the buoys when I went in. One of the guys working on the docks said the seal has been around for a few days and they have been feeding him. Of course my camera was home. Watch for the furry head and big eyes and don't run him over.

Not good for fishing, scares off the baitfish.

He didn't scare off the 16" striper I got to-day.

I think I saw you over there today. Could be the same seal that was in bowline awhile back...Quess he likes it here...

That fish was too young to know to run!!!

In the Hudson River it must be 18" to keep. I think in the ocean it's 28". I was happy with this one since it was my first this year. Bigger ones should be on the way.
