I am having an issue with the lights, yesterday they worked fine and now there are no lights in the Aft head. So i swapped the light box with the forward head and it worked fine in the forward head. So i checked power and grounds and all ok. Suspect problems are in the sensors in the tank but they look almost impossible to change unless i cut an access hole in the floor. Has anyone else had this problem? And suggestions on where to get parts????

Probably just dirty. You have plastic rods with a float moving up and down. You can unscrew the whole assembly and clean the rods and floats. And yes if carver didn’t leave access you may have to cut an access hole.

Before you dive into the mess of a black tank try using a tank cleaner like Noflex digester or Liquify to a known full tank and a little cruise in choppy water. When I bought my 3988 neither the guage nor the full warning light were working well. Noflex Digester cleared it up by cleaning the tank.

thanks for the advice I appreciate it

I doubt Noflex will free those floaties but if you need to buy some, it is much cheaper at fisheries supply. $19.99 instead of $30+ and elsewhere

Thank you I think you are probably right. I have owned the boat for 5 yrs. And i am sure the other owners never did anything to the black tank system. But i ordered some to try 1st. And if it doesn’t work maybe it will be a little cleaner when i pull the sensor assy out
