So I just picked up some groceries at stop n shop and after I check out they tell me that I'll save 60 cents per gallon at my next fill up at a shell station. Anyone know of any shell gas stations that I can fill up the boat at?

Try calling Blue Water YC in Merrick and ask about the discount coupon. They are a shellport for gas and diesel.
 
I had that same thought, but the T&C says 35 gallon limit. Still, 35 discounted in the boat would be better than 20 or so in the car.
 
If your looking for a decent c/c for fuel discount.....try Penn Fed C/C service.....they offer 5% off on Diesel or Gas ( no limit ).....at any station.....and 2% on any other purchase using their card. No annual fee.....just a one time " donation " of $20.

Just got mine last week...........and used it over the M/D w/e.
 
Don, I just checked their website and the little asterick indicates that while it's 5% for "pay at the pump" gas, it's 1% for gas you put in the boat or a plane. Still a good deal though with no annual fee.
I have a card that gives me 1% cash back on all new purchases and I try to use it instead of cash whenever I can. It's nice to get that check every month.

I have the penned card for 4 months now. Good deal for car.
For boat I use shell card which is 5%.
Or if at non shell I use fidelity Amex which is 2% for everything
 
John..... I didn't realize that it was only 1% discount if you don't pay at the pump.......when I was looking at c/c....I was more interested in pay at the pump Diesel ( for the coach ) & gas ( for the Jeep ) discount and on-line billing service.... type of cards..........I'm planning on using it for ALL our fuel purchase's while on the road...... so far it works well.

I tried getting fuel for the car last week using this promotion. The shell station was 20 cents higher then any gas station around. The screen at the pump guides tru the process in a backwards way. The screen tells you the discount you should get but the pump price never changed. So i went in the office and the attendant said no problem u go pump. The price still never changed at the pump. I went back inside he said dont worry. Long story short I pumped the fuel. Then he wouldn't give me the discount said there was something wrong with my stop and shop acct. While loosing my cool two other people came in with the same issue. I called the stop and shop Promotional number and they sent a visa card for the amount i would have saved. So just beware.

PS.....did you check your Stop and Shop card ??.....maybe they credit the discount amount back to your card ??? I hate them Visa gift cards.....PITA

Thats how the Pen Fed card works.....you pay full price at the pump ( any fuel station )....and they credit the 5% discount back to your card each billing cycle.

So they say............I'll know next month.
