Inside and out.

We had the inaugeral launch this afternoon for our new (to us) boat. We brought her up to West Shore Marina, and dropped her in their launch, which was small, but not to bad to get in and out of.

We took a ride down to Bannerman's and then up to the mid hudson. Had a late lunch and brought her in. We pulled the boat out on the 3rd try, and things looked good. Until I pulled the plug and couple of gallons of water came out.

The engine hatch was wet above the belt, so I started it back up and watched. Sure enough I need a water pump, it was leaking out the weep hole.

So this appears to be the first unexpected donation to the hole in the water!

At least you found it early before you were on a longer trip or weekend outing.

I'm with Dan - it coulda been worse .. .
We had a boat launch Sunday afternoon, and not 100 ft from the travel lift his bildgepump starts discharging .. .. then the other bildge pump - by the time he got into his slip, the high water alarm was blaring. Back to the travel lift, and out . .. initial investigation says it was a bellows failure.

At least he found his leak while he was still on-board!
