In checking out my new boat, I found that the shower sump pump has no power. At first I thought t was the pump, but i tested it and it works fine. I checked at the panel switch and there is power to the wire. It marked B3. I couldnt follow it to where the pump is. Was wondering is there some else like a water switch that im missing in the circut?
Thanks for the help!

There may be a switch in the head that turns on the pump...check for that. My 27 Montego has this switch as it has a constant run pump, not a sump box. I don't remember if the 3297 has the constant run pump or a sump box which would have a float switch to activate it.

Is the float in the sump working? Could it be frozen up with gunk so that float doesn't activate pump ? Try lifting float manually while power to sump is on.

I had a 3697 Carver Mariner. The float switch was in the drain box under the shower. The soap gunk would definitely not allow the switch free on/off movement. Had to clean it every season.

Agree with others. Some have 2 switches, 1 circuit breaker switch and another switch in the head. Sump boxes can get real nasty and do need at least 1-2 cleanings per season.

found the switch in the head was bad. Didnt realize it had one to start with! New boat is taking time to figure out all the little things!
Thanks!
