Silverton or Sea Ray

I am currently looking at two boats in my price range, a 1988 Silverton 40' Convertible and a 1989 Sea Ray 44' Convertible. Both are in very good to excellent condition. I have nown the owners of both boats for many years. What are the pro and cons of the constuction of both of these boats? Are there any noted problems that should be looked at. I will have a full survey done on whichever I decide. Thanks for your hlp. Mike
