Anyone hear of this or know any additional details? http://www.wakeworld.com/cgi-bin/Discus4/show.cgi?1/348878
Every time I am on one of my buddies' ski boats I am worried about this kind of stuff happening. I've seen quite a few large cruisers on the Delta throw huge wakes. And it's not allways even that it's yachts throwing those types of wakes when passing other boats in close quarters. With many a boat creating big wakes, wide open areas in the Delta can get EXTREMELY rough. if I was an owner of a boat with limited freeboard I'd make darn sure to avoid areas like that. But as owners of any type of water craft we need to be aware of our wakes at all times!
Ok, I should mention the a#$^#$%% in New York cove last Saturday about 5 pm tha was at least 300 yrds. inside the 5 mph markers pulling a skier our of the water! I couldn't believe my eyes! So this definitely cuts both ways! (And please, let's not start a posting war re ski boats, etc. One can find "ignorance" in any crowd!)
Hey - you all be safe out there!
