Boss wants to take a lazy trip down the Sacramento River, spend some nights out, some nights in marinas. Any spots you recommend? Places to avoid?

we may go north of sacramento up to hwy 5
stay there , then onto the american river
what part of the sac were u going to ?

When we cruise up and down the Sacramento, I enjoy a number of places to eat or spend the night. Starting at the south end, I like Vieira's Resort for guest docking, food and supplies. I enjoy eating brunch or dinner at the Ryde Hotel just south of Walnut Grove. In Walnut Grove I love Al the Wops (actually a mile north in Locke) and I like to eat and drink at Tony's. They also have nice guest docking on the east side of the river. A visit to Guisti's for lunch is always a treat up that way and there are numerous fun wateing holes all around Sacramento including a must stop in Sacramento's Old Town for a visit. Good docking there also. Have fun

We live in Sacramento. We had our boat at Sac City Marina for almost 5 years, so we are familiar with most of the local places.

I honestly don't know exactly what she has in mind. We could just go up the American River for several days. She wants to anchor out, but it would be hard to do with my oxygen generator and Ventilator needing power...
