Stripped Screws Bimini Top

The screws securing one of the stanchions on my bimini top on the stern are stripped. Any suggestions as to how I fix that? Is there some kind of epoxy compound that I can use to fill the holes which I could then re-use the screws securely? I don't think I can re-position the stanchion without messing up the whole bimini top. Thanks for any help.

just use the next size screw

I'd squirt some 5-min epoxy in the hole to harden it, then use the next size larger screw.

Marine tex also will work

Same thing happened to me...I drilled out the old screw and then put the next larger screw in with some marine tex on it...Better than before

If you can get to underside; replace with SS machine screw, washer & nut.
