Yes I should have been there.. I got in a big hurry on this boat, the only other one like it was a long transport away and there was another buyer behind me. As to the smell, this is my first boat ( with other than a porta p ) I did smell something but it was cold ( 35 to 40 ) and it didnt exactly smell ike human waste.. Not until it really got warmer and I ran the front air conditioner which draws air from the forward bilge.. Nice design by the way. I will sort this boat and my next one will be a far different situation./

Why does your AC draw air from the bilge? Never heard of that before.

yeah, if that's true, I'd find a way to cut a new intake.

Ditto. Most units today are self contained. May be a very easy fix. Pix would help.

the AC shoudlnt' draw air from the bilge, it's stinky and ineficient. you shoudl be able to route a duct or something or simply build an enclosure around the unit to seal the bilge air out.

most units are self contained on smaller boat to make install easier although having the remote condensor/compressors is much better than having the noisiest part of the AC under your bed ! but that has nothing to do with where the unit is drawing air.

I've already routed ductwork, that was the easiest fix ! and made the most improvement to smell !
