Ok, the 42 Jefferson is out due to 3 cabin layout and high hours.
I don't know how these boats find me but I have just been offered a boat not previously for sale.
A 40 _______ by a well known, to Bob, Taiwan yard was ordered in 1988 by a dealer for his retirement. It was ordered with twin Crusader 454 as his wife does not like diesel fumes. It has never been commissioned. It was used as a display boat several times at the Toronto boat show and was launched 3 years as a demo.
The engines have 78 hours and the head, galley and staterooms have never been used.
It is stored indoors about an hour from me and they will do the commissioning with installing air units, 10000btu and 16000 btu and a diesel 6.5 kw genny. The only electronics are, none, compasses only and no windlass yet.
I know this boat and my motorhome buddy was the main mechanic for the dealership for 16 years, he has retired and confirmed the status of the boat with no axe to grind.
The son is selling the boat as the father has retired with different plans.
Asking US $135K and it goes on the market next month. They will also take a trade.
What are your thoughts on a boat this old with no use?
