And so was my phone. Yeah, we launched and set-up the floating docks yesterday. All went well until one of the floats hit another while I was a bit off balance and not paying attention to that corner of the float. Splash... I was the first of the neighborhood to take a swim this year .... with my phone in my pocket. Pulled the battery as quickly as I could, put it out in the sun and then in a bowl of rice overnight but its dead. $100 insurance policy with a $90 deductable for a phone that I paid $50 for when I opened the account. The phone is $399 retail now so I guess I still ahead... sort of.

We had a flood tide last evening so my neighbor and I decided to pull the work barge out of the shallows and get it ready to set the new pilings. The barge has a tower to hold the pilings and a jet pump to sink them in the sand and mud. Took us a while longer than expected to get the barge properly located due to the same wind that brought us the flood tide but we got it done without..... and without any accidents or damage this time.

This boating thing and having your own docks is WORK!!
