Thinking about switching from 3 blade props to 4

1992 330 sundancer with 7.4 l V drives. Any experience with this switch?

I did it when I had my 1995 330DA........and it was a great difference. It improved plane time and made it dock friendly. I wasn't sorry I made the change.

I can't recall the prop size....but I think it was about a $1200 hit.

I made the switch on my 1998 330 DA with 7.4MPI v-drives. Original props were 3 blade 17 X 17. I went to a 4 blade 17 X 15.25

Same basic results as Don above. I did lose a little top end speed, but I wasn't concerned with that at all. I was able to cruise more economically, which was a much better trade off.

I lost all my records so I can't give any exact numbers.....just remember that I would do it again if I were in the same situation.
