Turning off pumps!

Just heard a judge had the pumps to the aquaduct turned off. Ca doesn't have the correct permits...endangering species thingy.

Now, why didn't they do that with the Klamath. Silvers being endangered 'n all.
 
The DRW fish screens for the pumps didn't work any better than the fish ladders for the dams. Glad this one has finally hit the fan.
 
I doubt the pumps will be turned off. Someone will get paid off and the pumps will stay on. That's how politicians work.
 
I think UpperDecker is correct, but at least the issue is getting good/bad news coverage which will enlighten some people to the problems. Hal Schell used to say that when they turn the pumps on, the tides in the south delta go into reverse!
