My boat is five years old being used in saltwater. I am the third owner and dont know if props have ever been off. I just had the drive taken off and serviced. The shop didnt want to take the props off. Stainless props $1000.00 or more to replace? No other reason right now to take off. Just wanting to do proper maintenance. Also it was recommended to use only Volvo shaft greased if they are removed.
