I needed some Nuts & Bolts, etc. so I bought in quantity. Stainless Steel nuts $8.50 a pound. Bolts are the same way. Of course, they have steel, zinc, brass and other items.
Most are sold by the pound. Steel bolts sell for $2.50 a pound to $4.00 a pound.

They even carried everything out for me.

Oh yeah, there is a lumber yard in Rio Linda that sells plywood. Dunnage I think they called it. A friend picked it up on his trailer. It ranged from 5/8" to 1 1/4" thick and the forty sheets cost $150. They advertise on Craigslist.

I need to get my outboard tuned. It runs, but does not idle well (1999 Honda 9.9hp). I have asked around the Marina, no mechanics there. I will check our list on the forum too.

I buy all my fasteners at Blue Collar. Can't beat the price. Good deal on raw material too. Have you talked to John, the mechanic over at Gliedts at Perrys? He may be able to help you with your outboard.

There aren't many Honda outboard dealers to choose from in the continental USA. I don't know mechanics up on the Delta Loop.

I buy my Yamaha parts online now from boats.net I just looked and they have Honda parts and several models listed of 1999 Honda 9.9hp. If it is running but not idling well and you have already given it fresh fuel, I suspect the low speed jet in the carborator is fouled, its small and varnishes easily as the gas ages. Rather than taking the carb apart and cleaning it, it looks like you can buy a new carb for $124, I would recommend you order and replace the in line fuel filter, fuel lines and fuel pump since they accumulate gum and varnish too. All of these things come off with a couple screws and the fuel lines you can secure with UV and fuel resistant cable ties.

Is your wife still playing her guitar? I put mine up for a while, I need to get practicing again.

She has not had hers out in awhile, she has been training Service Dogs for Vietnam Vets,
working with Substance Abuse programs at the church, got her garden going, dehydrating all sorts of foods, and helping our youngest daughter plan her wedding. I was thinking about getting her a paper route so she wouldn't be "slacking off" between 5AM and 7AM.

Thanks for the tips on the Honda. It came back from Buck's that way and they did quite a few things to it, but since it has not been ran much since then, the varnish could have set in. I will have to get another engine anyway, probably an electric start or a 2 stroke. I am not supposed to lift over 5 pounds with my right arm, or pull start the mower, etc.

Part of why I was hoping they could get it running in the water was just the problem of lifting it up to the dock, but I can get some help with that. Maybe I could sell it and get an outboard with a starter??

Blue Collar is a fun place to shop. Harbor Freight too. The SS washers can be picked up with a magnet (part of them), but the SS nuts and bolts were ok. Thanks again, Dave

I'm on SF Peninsula, not in the Delta. Been looking at all the normal places (Home Depot, OSH, local hardware, etc.) and cannot find 1/4" Number 8-32 stainless steel machine screws.
Anyone know any good place to try

1/4" long 8-32 stainless? You'll be able to find 1/2" long at OSH and other places but you'd have to go to someplace real special to find 1/4" long, if you lived in Seattle I bet Tacoma Screw Company would carry 1/4" long 8-32 stainless. The only thing I can think of down here is buy longer ones, screw the nut on, cut to length with the air grinder cut off wheel, back the nut off and you probably got 1 shot when you go to thread it back on before the burr starts threading the nut on catawampus.
