I've been told it's best to inspect these on a regular basis. I've had a problem trying to pump out recently, and while I am fairly certain it's the pumpout station (lack of proper pressure)at our club, I'm at least going to make sure all my bases are covered. It seems to work for people intermittantly. Some boats are fine, some won't pump out.

Anyway, how in the world do I clean these vent filters? I can't find anything in the manual.

Thanks!

If you have the vents with the chrome side with the black plastic top, do the following. Use a screw driver to remove them. Then with a pipe cleaner, put it down the vent pipe and get out all the debris out. Then, screw on the vent cap snug. If you put on to tight, they will break. To replace them with a new unit, it is approximately eighteen dollars.

The waste tank vent filters will be in the hose between the tank and the vent thru hull for each tank...if it has them
