Does anyone have experience with water based bottom paints on the upper Chesapeake? I am considering trying it this year. The boat is slipped for 6 to 7 months during the season.

Thanks
Lou

I am very please with Pettit Hydrocoat that I use on my 320 Sea Ray Sundancer. I understand that this is the bottom paint used by Sea Ray at their factory. I boat in the Chesapeake and had no barnicles this past year.

Sorry I didn't see your post sooner but like lumpsum, I painted my boat with Pettit Hydrocoat last year and no barnacles either. I put on two coats and a third at the waterline with one gallon of paint. The bottom looked pretty good after the boat came out this fall. My boat is located in North East, MD and boated the upper part of the bay last summer.

I used petit hydrocoat as well.
Will use again this year, though I think it is multi-season, so I may just touch up.

Thanks for the feedback, I am planning to try the Pettit this season. I am on the Bohemia.
