This past weekend I discovered water in the under sink locker in the head. Not enough to pump, but enough to soak the carpet.

Then I noticed that the carpet in the aft cabin was also wet.

I surmise that it began under the sink, and flowed down to the aft cabin carpet.

My first suspect was the cockpit icemaker, because I had a leak in the water inlet and had to replace the cupling. But I'm just not sure water from behind the icemaker can make its way to the cabinet under the sink in the head.

There was on screw missing on the porthole window in the head, and the outside railing in that area needed to be re-bed. I took care of both of those suspects, and left fans running on the boat during the week. I hope when I get to the boat tomorrow that everything is bone dry, and stays that way. If not, has anyone else had problems with water under the sink? Any ideas on where else I should look.

BTW, the plumbing under the sink is dry.

When I had my 95...330DA....I had the same problem in the head. I ended up tacking down to a leak around the head port hole.....right where the fiberglass surround meets the hull. It leaked into the medicine cabinet and under the sink. I used some clear caulk around the seam.....and it never leaked again.

Oddly enough.....I had the exact same problem with my 95....370DA......and did the same caulk job about 3 years ago.......and its fine today.

Thanks, Don. Somehow I knew you would be the one with the answer. Just like when you diagnosed my fuel cooler problem.

........and its free...

Thats whats GREAT about this forum.............boaters helping boaters.

Hope that is your problem......it took me a while to pin it down in my situation........but once I noticed it.....it was obvious.

I have the same boat. Check the hot and cold pex (?) fittings under the head sink - in the little cabinet. If they are leaking the water will flow to the carpet just outside the head.

I have the same boat and the first things to leak are the overhead hatches, then the portholes... I am not sure what is next. The horn leaks past the anchor locker and into the fron starboard side of the forward birth.
