High praise to these Congressman!!!!

"Westlands Water District got a letter from Congress members George Miller, John Garamendi, Grace F. Napolitano, and Mike Thompson.

“We read with great interest," they write, “that the Westlands Water District has more water at San Luis Reservoir than it can use this year, and is contemplating an exchange with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. . . . [th] announcement of “extra" federal water delivered to Westlands will come as a surprise to anyone who has seen Westlands' political advocacy, press releases, and court filings over the course of this year."

The Congress members have nine questions for Westlands, including a question about why the district isn't using any “extra" water to replenish the groundwater it says is overdrafted."

Maybe that's one of the reasons it's been so quiet on the water 'shortage' problem. Earlier this year and last year, they've been using 'scare tactic TV ad's', aimed at the south bay and surrounding communities up here in Northern Caleefornia, of the need for more water for Southern Caleefornia. I know it don't make sense, but there ya go. That's how sneaky and underhanded that group is. Probably aimed at the 'new' immigrants that don't know what's happening with the water war that's been going on for a hundred years.

I have a new friend who relocated here from Colorado. In spending some time with her, we discovered we thought very much the same way politically. So she has been trying to learn enough about Cal politics to make some informed decisions on the ballot.

She was thinking the water position of "SoCal needs water!" was a good thing. So I introduced her to some of the facts: they lie, cheat and steal. She has now reversed her thinking on this issue even though she has never been to the Delta and knows nothing about it. I suggested she vote for NO candidate who supports shpping more water to SoCal.

On voter at a time ;>)
