My Mercury manual, as well as Seloc shows a "centrifugal slinger" around the drive shaft above the water pump housing. I have no such thing on my pump. Is this a seal or what?? To my knowledge there has never been one on my pump housing. Could this cause a water pressure loss??? Thanks, Fred
