What is this all about SPBM for sale?

I heard that a guy named Bob who owns a bowrider bought it last week.
Jim

just show the winter no water pics and the price will drop drasticaly.

Wonder if Wayne is in deep crap or is he just looking to make a buck on his investent. I know a condo builder who would love to get his hands on the property.....

let's get a group of investors together and buy it.
If its say $2 million, we can do 10 people at $200K each.

The town has denied Wayne's application for condo's multiple times.

Also, since he paid roughly 4.2M for the old SPBM plus 1.4M for the empty lot as well as what ever Willow Cove north is worth and I think you will find 2M way below what he is asking. My gut says he is asking somewhere in the 6-10M range and that is way more than the current bussiness model will handle.

The place still needs lots of improvements and business is way down. Mostly down to the economy but there is growing dissatisfaction with the quality of work. I personally have had significant damage done due to some marina negligence and I'm still waiting for resolution which doesn't seem to be forth coming. (Not to my primary boat but to my play around stuff. Still sucks to have to deal with the damages thou.)

The place has come a long way since Wayne bought it out but there seems to be some issues of great concern developing.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw that posting on loopnet.com a while back and asking price was around $12 million.

John how many slips are in this Marina? Maybe a dockominum would work

I saw the ad, 425 slips, any idea how many are big boy slips (slips that hold boats more than 30")

You have that other other place up there that is a dockominum, price there are crazy.... with 425 slips 12 mill is not a bad price if you can convert it to a dockominium

They tried dockominiums in the 1980's and it didn't work out. Problem is the lack of deep water in Stony Point Bay.

What Hogan said, who wants to buy a slip that only has water some of the time?

I believe you are talking about half moon bay Walter. That is the other side of the river and strangely enough they actually have water there.

Of the 425 slips I'd guess that less than 25% are true "big boy slips" but using your 30" limit then they ALL hold boats bigger than 30 inches! ;)

Hmmmmmm let me get this straight Bob, he is asking 12 million and the ad claims 2 million in revenue? That's pretty funny!
